On June 15th, we’re happy to offer in-person volunteering for Pop-Up Care Villages and shower services in San Francisco**, Oakland, and Los Angeles!

It's been one very long year, but we're excited to welcome our volunteers back to deliver Radical Hospitality to our guests!

Even though COVID-19 infections are on the decline, we're still taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our guests. Below you'll find updated volunteer protocols and expectations for the next three months.

Thank you so much, we cannot wait to see our amazing volunteers again!

All Volunteer Expectations:

  • All volunteers must sign-up for shifts on TimeCounts (if not registered already). We will not accept walk-up volunteers.

  • All volunteers must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Verification may be requested.

  • All volunteers will still need to wear face masks throughout the duration of their shift (except when eating & drinking).

  • All volunteers must be over the age of 18 at this time.

  • All volunteers should continue sanitize their hands often during their shift. Hand sanitizer will be provided!

Shower Service Expectations:

  • All volunteers must follow LavaMaeˣ COVID-19 cleaning protocols (details upon shift arrival).

  • Full body PPE will be required when cleaning stalls (goggles, suits, gloves, etc.) and will be provided by LavaMaeˣ staff.

  • One, four-hour volunteer shift is available for each service site.

Pop-Up Care Villages (PUCVs) Expectations:

  • PUCVS are scaled at a much smaller size to ensure crowd control.

  • Each PUCV will have a max capacity of 10 volunteers.

  • Each volunteer shift will be five hours.

** We are in the process of securing a new mobile shower location in San Francisco, stay tuned!

If you have any questions, please contact us and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
