LavaMaeˣ says farewell to our friend Francisco after more than six years of service alongside our mobile hygiene program
Francisco Lopez-Garcia has been a dedicated member of the LavaMaeˣ team since 2015 when he was recruited to work alongside us through the San Francisco Fully Integrated Recovery Services Team (SF FIRST).
Throughout his tenure through SF FIRST, he championed his natural ability to connect with our guests every week while making sure our stalls remained clean and safe for every shower.
“Francisco is never afraid to get dirty and to clean the hard stuff.” Says Annie Stickel, Sr. Director of Community Engagement, “He's always the first one to throw his gloves on and walk towards the stall as soon as someone exits because he's eager to help. Whether it's walking guests over to the list manager to get signed up, to going through the available clothing with guests, he's consistently willing to help our folks in the community.”
Even though Francisco has retired from LavaMaeˣ, we’ll continue to cherish his Radical Hospitality for years to come. We’ll always remember his love for singing and his joyful laughter.
